This event was an unexpected surprise this weekend when a friend dragged me to the kick off Friday night.  What a gift to lovers of words to be transported to so many different places and provoked by so many ideas in the span of a day.  Kudos to the organizers, thanks to the sponsors, and I hope this becomes an annual event for the city!

I have been quite preoccupied these past few months and just found out about this the other day, and I am soooo delighted I did.

What a great event.  I blogged about on Universal Hub:

Amazing job, guys! It felt as though this festival had been going on for years. A complete natural for Boston, and long overdue. Here’s to next year. Thanks for making this happen!

I had a great experience there, but was not able to make all the presentations. Will you be posting the recorded sessions so I can hear what I had to miss?

Wow the Book Festival was FANTASTIC!  I can’t wait for next years festival.  i got to hear from some great authors. And one of the best things I got to be inside our incredibly beautiful Library.

Hi. I was thrilled. absolutely thrilled, by the day. So many people interested in books! I attended 3 talks, and I personally liked the ebb and flow of people coming and going. To make sure I got to those I really wanted to attend, I got there early.  Thank you!!!  Diane d’Almeida

Fantastic event, despite my silent humiliation at the hands of the Writers Idol judges.  The entire event was extremely well-conceived and executed.  Maybe two dsys next year?
