Richard Ford is a Pulitzer Prize and PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction winner who has taught at Williams College and Princeton University. He is most noted for the Frank Bascombe series, comprising The Sportswriter (1986), Independence Day (1995), which won the Pulitzer Prize and PEN/Faulkner award, and The Lay of the Land (2006). His most recent novel, Canada, tells of how Dell Parsons’ life changes after his parents are arrested for robbing a bank. Richard currently lives in Maine with his wife Kristina.
