Myla Goldberg is the author of Wickett’s Remedy and the bestselling Bee Season, which was a New York Times Notable Book for 2000, winner of the Borders New Voices Prize, and a finalist for the Hemingway Foundation/PEN award, the NYPL Young Lions award, and the Barnes & Noble Discover award. Kirkus Review wrote of Wickett’s Remedy, “[A] rich historical re-creation whose energy and ingenuity evoke memories of E.L. Doctorow’s classic Ragtime... A fine novel very much in the American vein, and a quantum leap forward for the gifted Goldberg.”
Her short stories have appeared in McSweeney’s and Harper’s, and her book reviews have appeared in the New York Times and Bookforum.
Goldberg’s much-anticipated third novel, The False Friend, is a story about a woman who revisits the scene of a crime she committed as a child and then covered up.
