Meg Wolitzer is the author of the novels The Uncoupling, The Ten-Year Nap, The Position, The Wife, and Surrender, Dorothy, as well as a number of screenplays. Her short fiction has appeared in The Best American Short Stories and The Pushcart Prize Anthology, and she has also taught writing at the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop and at Skidmore College. Her latest novel, her first for young readers, is The Fingertips of Duncan Dorfman, which Kirkus Reviews calls a "readable rumination on ethics, competition and identity."
