Madeline Miller received her BA and MA in classics from Brown University. In the last decade, Miller has taught and tutored Latin, Greek, and Shakespeare to high school students. Additionally, Miller has studied at the University of Chicago's Committee on Social Thought and at the Yale School of Drama. Her first novel is The Song of Achilles, which won the Orange Prize, awarded annually to the best work of fiction by a woman written in English. Miller lives, works, and writes in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
