Lisa Abend is a journalist who has covered a variety of topics for publications including The Atlantic, Wired, and The Economist. She has been Time magazine's correspondent in Spain, and she contributes to several major American food magazines, including Bon Appetit, Gourmet, Saveur, and Food & Wine. Her food writing has also appeared in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Slate, and the Christian Science Monitor. The Sorcerer's Apprentices, which Kirkus Reviews calls a "slow-motion gastronomical feast," is her first book.
