Lawrence Lessig

Lawrence Lessig is the author of Republic, Lost: How Money Corrupts Congress--And a Plan to Stop It. Lessig is a co-founder, with Joe Trippi, of the Fix Congress First foundation and the Rootstrikers project, both of which aim to address problems created by money in politics. In 2011, these two groups became part of the United Republic organization. He is also the author of Code: And Other Laws of Cyberspace, which explores the role of cyber code as an aspect of social control. Lessig serves as the current Roy L. Furman Professor of Law and Leadership at Harvard Law School and the director of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard. In 2005, Lessig was portrayed in an episode of The West Wing by the actor Christopher Lloyd.
