Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Kristin Cashore holds a bachelor’s degree from Williams College and a master’s in Children’s Literature from the Center for the Study of Children’s Literature at Simmons College.
Her work has appeared in numerous publications including The Horn Book Guide, The Looking Glass: An Online Children’s Literature Journal, and Children’s Literature in Education.
In 2008, Graceling, her debut novel for young adults, was published to widespread acclaim. School Library Journal’s starred review raves “Cashore treats readers to compelling and eminently likable characters and a story that draws them in from the first paragraph… This is gorgeous storytelling: exciting, stirring, and accessible.
