Joan Parker
Dean of American crime fiction, the late Robert B. Parker, said of his wife, Joan, "[She] has been the central factor in my life . . . You wouldn't unerstand me unless you understand me and her." Joan Parker is a former education professor and a noted philanthropist. Named Philanthropic Woman of the Year in 2000, she serves on the boards of The New Repertory Theatre and PFLAG.
