Gabrielle Bell is a cartoonist and filmmaker currently living in New York. Her semi-autobiographical comic Lucky earned her an Ignatz Award in 2004 and was published into a graphic novel in 2006. She has been featured in several volumes of the Best American Comics and the Yale Anthology of Graphic Fiction series and has also contributed to McSweeneys, Bookforum, The Believer, and Vice Magazine. A portion of her last book, Cecil and Jordan in New York, is being adapted for the film anthology Tokyo! by Michel Gondry. Her most recent graphic novel, The Voyeurs, was published in August 2012.
