Franklin Foer is the editor at large at the New Republic and a Schwartz Fellow at the New America Foundation. His work has appeared in Slate and New York magazines and he has been called one of America's "most influential liberal journalists" by the Daily Beast. His first book, How Soccer Explains the World: An Unlikely Theory of Globalization, was an international bestseller and was translated into 27 languages. His newest book, edited with Marc Tracy and due out in October, is Jewish Jocks: An Unorthodox Hall of Fame.
