Emma Rothschild

Emma Rothschild is the Jeremy and Jane Knowles Professor of History and the Director of the Joint Center for History and Economics at Harvard University and the University of Cambridge. Her research interests focus on the history of economic thought in the eighteenth century. Her articles have been published in the Journal of World History, Past and Present, and Modern Intellectual History. Her most recent work is The Inner Life of Empires: An Eighteenth-Century History, which the Wall Street Journal has called "meticulous and elegant."
