Christopher Lydon is the host of Open Source, the local/global, broadcast/Internet radio conversation that has been based at Brown University's Watson Institute since the summer of 2007. Lydon was the founder of The Connection radio program produced by WBUR and nationally syndicated to 75 public radio stations nationwide. He is also credited with creating the first podcast, a series of online interviews with innovators in media and technology. Lydon has a background in both television and newspaper journalism, and he is a frequent contributor to such publications as The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic, The Economist, and the Boston Phoenix.
