Buzz Bissinger
Buzz Bissinger is the author of the highly acclaimed books Friday Night Lights, Three Days in August, and A Prayer for the City. Both Friday Night Lights and another book, Shattered Glass, were made into movies, and Friday Night Lights was also adapted into a popular television series. Bissinger has written for the television series NYPD Blue as well as for magazines and newspapers. While writing for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Bissinger won the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Journalism. Bissinger's latest book, Father's Day: A Journey into the Heart and Mind of My Extraordinary Son, is about his twin sons, who were born premature in 1983. He splits his time between Philadelphia and the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Lisa, and their three children.
