Bill Littlefield is an author and sports commentator who hosts WBUR and National Public Radio's Only A Game. He has won six Associated Press Awards, and his books include Fall Classics, The Circus in the Woods, Baseball Days, Champions: The Stories of Ten Remarkable Athletes, Keepers: Radio Stories from "Only A Game" and Elsewhere, and the novel Prospect. He was the guest editor for Houghton Mifflin's Best American Sports Writing in 1998, and he has been a commentator for National Public Radio since 1984. In addition to writing books and essays, Littlefield regularly contributes to The Atlanta Constitution, The Los Angeles Times, and Newsday.
