Alex Gilvarry is a Norman Mailer Fellow and has written for NPR's All Things Considered, Vogue, and The Paris Review. Tottenville Review, a Book Review Collective website, was founded by Gilvarry, who is still the founding editor. Gilvarry's first novel, From the Memoirs of a Non-Enemy Combatant, is about a Filipino fashion designer who is held at Guantanamo Bay after authorities discover his ties to an alleged terrorist. He currently splits his time between Brooklyn, New York, and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
