A Reason to Lead

12:45pm Back Bay Events Center John Hancock Hall 180 Berkeley Street

Governor Deval Patrick is one of only two African Americans ever to be elected to govern a state. His memoir, A Reason To Believe: Lessons from an Improbable Life, has been described by Tracy Kidder as "a testament for honorable public service." Governor Patrick discusses his story and the call to lead with Guy Raz, weekend host of NPR's All Things Considered. Sponsored by Google Books.

NOTE: Walter Isaacson, the original host of this session and author of the forthcoming Steve Jobs: A Biography, is unable to attend the BBF due to his attendance at the memorial service for Steve Jobs. Many thanks to Guy Raz for stepping in!
